About Course

This course will give students a strong background in the Windows environment, Microsoft Office, and other common software systems.

The course will prepare students with the practical skills to use technology in a real-world business environment. Key applications that will be covered include Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

What Will You Learn?

  • Integrate computers and computing techniques with other courses offered during the program.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of the Windows environment.
  • Understand and have competency at the intermediate level of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Understand the basic concepts and applications of computing including an overview of computerized productivity tools for word processing, spreadsheets, and database management
  • Understand and use system software and application software; and the role of computers in database management systems, management information systems, and customer relationship management systems
  • Possess a working knowledge of computer use; and know how to employ the computer as a valuable business tool
